MUNICIPALITY OF KINGSTON CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS
FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

The Civil Service Commission for the Municipality of Kingston is now accepting applications to take the civil service examination for Entry-Level Firefighter/Paramedic.

Applications may be obtained from the Municipal Secretary at the Kingston Municipal Building, 500 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704; or by phone at 570-288-4576, ext. 112; or by mail; or online at www.ki ngstonpa.org

Applications and required documentation must be submitted by mail or in person to the Municipal Secretary. Application fee is waived

Submission deadline is Friday, November 14, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.

All Following Minimum Eligibility Requirements
For Entry-Level Firefighter/Paramedic must be met at time of appointment:

1.Must possess a high school diploma or a GED
2.Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
3.Must possess a valid driver's license.
4.Must be physically/mentally fit to perform all duties of a firefighter/paramedic.
5.Must have completed Essentials of Firefighting Certification and be a practicing paramedic.
6.Must have reached the age of twenty-one (21) before the deadline for submitting completed applications.

Full salary, $72,213.50 in 4 years, nightshift differential, cost of living 10-hour dayshifts, 14-hour nightshifts (Approx. 6000+ calls per yr.) Healthcare, defined benefit pension, life insurance, 15 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation in first year, Additional benefits upon inquiry.
