The Borough of West Pittston. Luzerne County, PA is seeking applications for the position of Full Time Department of Public Works Supervisor. This is a working supervisory position. Qualified candidates shall meet the minimum requirements of being U.S. citizenship, possess a high school diploma or higher degree, experience in municipal government or other public sector management, previous supervisory skills and management experience, previous experience in performing road maintenance and snow plowing, experience with building, grounds, and sewer maintenance. Candidate shall have a valid Pennsylvania drivers license and a safe driving record. A clean CDL Class B license is strongly preferred but not required. Successful candidates will be required to pass an initial drug screening and be subject to random drug testing as required for CDL licensing. Candidates should have basic computer skills and record-keeping skills. Heavy equipment experience common to municipal maintenance is also required. This full-time position pays a salary that will be commensurate with experience and knowledge, plus pension, paid holidays, and vacations.
