THE TOWNSHIP OF BUTLER, Luzerne County is seeking applications for a full time position of Wastewater Superintendent. Possession of a valid Pennsylvania's drivers license and PA DEP Class B1,4 or greater operator's license is required. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintaining wastewater collection system lines, ability to enter confined spaces, operation of line locating and video inspection equipment, responding to various emergencies 24/7 at the wastewater plant or in the collection system, operating a variety of equipment including skid loader, combination sewer/storm drain cleaning truck and other related equipment, maintaining collection systems maps and inspection records, performing laboratory testing and sampling of treatment Plant processes, operating the centrifuge and various pumps, performing winter snow plowing and snow removal, performing landscaping, mowing, weed trimming and general grounds maintenance. As required, assist any and all plant personnel and other township employees. Municipal or local government experience a plus.
