WVIA is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive organizational and administrative support to WVIA's President / CEO and WVIA's Board of Directors.

WVIA is a 50-year young non-profit located between Scranton & Wilkes-Barre PA. The organization is beginning an exciting new era and seeks talented and energetic team members for these transformational new initiatives that will ensure a community that is engaged, inspired and vibrant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative support to the CEO, including maintaining office and activity calendars, screening calls, preparing mailings, and making travel arrangements.
Serve as Assistant secretary to WVIA's Board of Directors. Schedule board and committee meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes and board documentation.
Prepare documents, reports and correspondence, such as meeting agendas, minutes and supporting documentation.
Ensure the CEO has all information and resources required for maximum efficiency, anticipating the support needs of the CEO is essential.
Greet visitors and determine access to appropriate parties.
Manage projects and conduct research for the executive team when necessary.
Work with the HR Director on coordination of All Staff meetings to include scheduling meeting and topics to be included on the agenda.
Work with the digital team to ensure all documentation is published to WVIA.org in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
Manage hospitality needs for station events and meetings.
Maintain good communication and relationships with staff.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Undergraduate degree in business administration / related field
Minimum three years in an administrative role.
Previous experience working with a Nonprofit Board of Directors preferred.
The position requires an energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
Solid working knowledge of office processes and company policies, and or related computer software and electronic communications tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, and the general public.
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
