The Pittston Township (Luzerne County, Pennsylvania) Board of Supervisors are seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the position of Chief of Police. The candidate selected will be responsible for leading the Townships Police Department, establishing and implementing operational and management policies/procedures, directing and coordinating Department operations, and establishing/maintaining a clear chain of command. The Chief of Police is also responsible for all administrative functions of the Department. The Chief of Police will be responsible for the direct supervision of all Department employees, and he/she will be expected to interact with elected and appointed Township Officials to best serve the needs of the Township and the surrounding community.
